A history of middle New River settlements and contiguous territory eBook David Emmons Johnston

Considering that this was written over 100 years ago it still contains a wealth of information on the topic subject. The author relied heavily on resources available to him at the time, a number of which have proven inaccurate with the decades of detailed research since. Still, this topic has not ever been covered as thoroughly as was done by this author, and history owes him a debt of gratitude for giving us this effort.

Good book, but the printing is a little off. The title page is on the left hand side, meaning the entire book is shifted. All the page numbers wall along the interior side of the pages. Not a big deal, just slight imperfection.
Great book for genealogy research
Very pleased with the book and transaction
Bought this to aid in my family tree search. Began reading it at the beginning and found it enjoyable for early famous Virginians.
Very informative and helpful in tracing family roots.
I own the book. Of high interest to Mercer County residents. One of 6 books I have telling about the burning of Princeton and fall back to Rocky Gap Va and Dublin Va. Written in 1906. Author was a child during the Civil war. He became a lawyer and county judge. For serious students only
My apologies for not seeing review earlier. This book is one of my favorite possessions. A wonderful treasure of history.
